Data Deletion
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This page explains how users of “HotPot Story” (developer: appful inc.) can request the deletion of their data. It applies to both the iOS and Android versions. The App has no account registration.
Data on our servers
We store only the following two types of data on our servers. Both are stored only when you decide to use the feature yourself.
| Data | Contents | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|
| Global Ranking records | Anonymous ID, number of bowls served, Owner Level, and the name shown in the ranking | Daily records: 8 days. A user's records are deleted automatically if they go unused for 400 days |
| Feedback for the developers | The text you wrote, the category you chose, App version, device type, OS version, and language | Deleted automatically after 400 days |
How to delete your data
Delete your ranking records (you can do this in the App)
- Open “Settings” from the gear at the top right of the App.
- Choose “Leave the Ranking.”
- Your ranking records and anonymous ID on the server are all deleted right away.
Delete your feedback (request by email)
Please email us at the address below with the subject “Data deletion request.” Include the approximate date and time you sent the feedback and part of the text you wrote. Because feedback carries no information that identifies users, we use these two pieces of information to find the matching text. We will delete the text we are able to identify within 30 days of receiving your request.
Data on your device
Your shop's progress (save data) is stored only on your device. It is deleted when you delete the App. You can also delete it in the App under “Settings” > “Start Over.”
Data that remains after deletion
- Anonymous usage data collected by ad networks and by Google's Firebase Analytics. We do not hold it in a form that identifies individuals. It is handled in accordance with each company's privacy policy.
- Records of in-app purchases. Apple and Google each keep these as records of your account with them.
For details, please see the Privacy Policy.
